Working on Sportlyzer as a team

October 28, 2015 - Posted by

We want to make Sportlyzer into a tool that encourages teamwork inside sports organizations. A tool, where each member of the team has their own possibilities and duties. A tool, which each member feels comfortable to use because it is designed and shaped to only fit their needs. A tool, which is so easy to use that new team member can join without any fuss.

Your team – managers and coaches

Everybody knows how important the backup teams in sports are. Can you imagine a Formula 1 pilot without his pit crew? Not really. Your sports club is not that different! Everyone has their duties and other team members depend on them to finish their part.

The manager needs the coach to mark athletes’ attendance and the coach depends on the manager to keep track on who is joining which training group. If both of them would have to deal with everything, it would burn a lot of energy and time.

This is where Sportlyzer steps in.

Focus on your job and succeed

With Sportlyzer we want to create a supportive base for coaches and managers to help them collaborate and work together to achieve great things. We have identified the main tasks of managers and coaches and have built a software that helps to avoid a lot of stress and save valuable time and money.

We believe that by helping managers and coaches work together more efficiently, they will be able to achieve great things and create successful athletes.

What we think coaches want to do:

  • Plan workouts. You are the one who knows best what your athletes need at any given moment. We want to help you plan and coordinate your workouts to make them even better.
  • Run training sessions. This is what you actually want to do. Dealing with secondary tasks like marking attendance and dealing with membership applications are not. That’s why we want to make it as fast and easy as possible to finish them and get back to the session.
  • Communicate with athletes. Sending emails and SMS to 30 different athletes and their parents is hard and we know it. With us you don’t have to worry about collecting emails or phone numbers yourself.

What we think managers want to do:

  • Have a good overview of what’s happening in the club. Whenever something is left undone, or some piece of information is important for your eyes, it will be displayed in your club dashboard.
  • Take actions based on what’s going on. Send reminders to coaches to fill in attendance, send birthday greetings, notify athletes who are due with membership fees, and more.
  • Have all club information at one place. Everything related to your club will be brought together in one collaborative platform. You will make sure that your coaches have the informaton that they need, and coaches will create and share information for you.

These and many other ideas pop into our heads when we look at today’s sports clubs and how current users use our software. It’s an absolute pleasure to see the energy and motivation which drives so many of them towards success. We at Sportlyzer are really happy to be a part of it today.
