Add members to your club

July 10, 2013 - Posted by

You have created your own club profile in Sportlyzer but do not have any athletes in it yet? Don’t worry, here’s a quick tutorial of how to add members to your club.

1. Go to club’s ‘Dashboard’ and click ‘Club members‘.

2. Klick on ‘Add members’ and check if the people you want to add to your club already have accounts on Sportlyzer. Type their names into the field of ‘Try to find your club member’s Sportlyzer account’. If you get several results with the same name and it’s hard to make sure who’s the right one, click on their names to open their profiles in new tabs.

3. If the subject already has an account on Sportlyzer, simply click ‘Send invite‘.

4. If he/she hasn’t, you need add him/her yourself. Enter the athlete’s name at the bottom of the screen and click on ‘Create user’.

5. New user is created. You can now manage them in the ‘Members’ section. You can keep using the athlete as a Puppet or send them access to their own account. Read more about Users and Puppets below.

6. Users are athletes and coaches who use Sportlyzer by themselves. If you know that these people are definitely going to use their diaries on Sportlyzer by themselves, send the invites directly on their emails. To make sure that they accept your invitation, also send them a personal email and instruct them to follow the link in the Sportlyzer invitation email.

7. Puppets are athletes who don’t use Sportlyzer themselves. Coaches can still plan and track their trainings on Sportlyzer and let the system send weekly workout plans on athletes’ emails (you can activate this email in the puppet’s Profile View). This is not a deadlock – later you can connect the Puppets with the real athletes so they become Users and can take the responsibility of their diaries.
