Why You Should Give Club Management Software a Try
Maybe you’ve given some thought to take sports club management software into use in your club, but you still hesitate. If you find yourself spending too much time on administrative tasks and have to grab some extra from your sleeping hours, keep reading.
Marek Naaris, club manager and coach at FC Elva, was in the same situation. He has now been using Sportlyzer for over a year. We asked him to recall how was it to take Sportlyzer into daily use for him and for other coaches.
It’s not reasonable to exchange a lot of time for little money. It’s better to do something useful with the time.
Marek needed to bring order into running the club and didn’t want anyone to waste extra time on administrative tasks, so he was highly motivated to get started with the software. He took the leap and introduced Sportlyzer into his club’s daily life. “At first, coaches needed reminding to do their part, but they got used to Sportlyzer quite quickly.”
Coaches’ ‘part’ was mainly to plan workouts, analyze their athletes’ performance and mark attendance – things they were already doing anyways. However, using Sportlyzer for these assignments made everyday processes easier for coaches and provided a good overview of everything for Marek.
Coaches can mark attendance on the go with their phone or tablet!
Marek also described his morning routine as a club manager: “Every morning, when I sit down with a cup of coffee, first thing I do is check Sportlyzer and see if everything in our club is under control.”
Marek says the software works well for their club. When FC Elva first implemented Sportlyzer, they had 300 athletes, and just recently their club passed the 500 athlete mark. “I can’t really imagine how we could manage without Sportlyzer. Now that club administration is in order, we can focus on developing our age and level specific training methods,” he shared, adding that they are actively working on executing their expansion vision.
“When you’ve already got some life experience and value your time, you realize that it’s not reasonable to exchange a lot of time for little money. It’s better to do something useful with the time, which will bring more money to the club,” he wisely finished.
