Sportlyzer Brainstormed With Students on Future Club Communication
The Idea Lab of University of Tartu held an event called “Idea Storm. 100 ideas that will change the world”. Sportlyzer was represented by our CEO Tõnis Saag. He had a brainstorm with bright-eyed students on future club communication, of course from the perspective of grassroots sports clubs.
Coach & communication
As we know, coach needs to communicate a lot – with other coaches, parents and of course athletes. The students of the University of Tartu evaluated the club communication channels that coaches will be using in the future. The team consisted of five students, so you shouldn’t take the outcome too seriously. However, it does give a good insight into young people’s opinions about future club communication.
Students were given symbolic names of current club communication channels like Facebook events or Google Drive. The ones that got the highest score were: Facebook groups, Facebook events, email, club’s website, phone calls; also Google Calendar, Google Groups, Google Drive and Dropbox. Turns out that verbal communication will not be a good club communication channel in the future :)
The futuristic Sportlyzer
Sportlyzer draws all of the above together: News Feed allows you to share information like you would normally do on Facebook groups; events and all the workouts can be created on the Calendar feature; emails and SMS can be sent through the Messaging feature; different reports can be shared, imported and exported easily through our Reports feature. You do have to call with your phone but the contacts are safely stored in Sportlyzer.
