Do You Know Who’s Coming to Your Training Session Today?

March 9, 2016 - Posted by

We’ve already covered how easy it is to mark attendance on Sportlyzer, especially when you do it on your phone. But now it’s time to shine a light on the Availability feature, which is equally important. Here’s why.

Planning workouts is easier when you know how many athletes can attend. A quick look into the player availability tab and you can plan your workouts accordingly.

Basketball players availability

A basketball coach shared his struggles on this matter:

I’ve had situations where I’ve built up the workout for 16 players but only 9 players attend. Then I need to rearrange the activities I had in mind for the session and it’s frustrating. It would be great to know in advance how many athletes will be attending.

The Availability feature keeps you in the loop and shows you exactly who’ll be attending in a particular training session, so you could plan the activities accordingly.

How the Availability feature works

Plan a workout for a group and send invites to all of the athletes in that group (you have the option to invite players outside the group as well). They will receive an invitation on their email and they can choose between „Yes, I’m going!“ and „No, I can’t make it“. Of course they can reply directly from their phone.

Availability invitation for athletes
Athletes can mark on the invite whether they are coming or not.

When you click on the Availability tab and choose a group, you will see who’s coming (green tick) and who’s not (red x).Availability

When you click on a workout, you will see more details about the workout and invitees. You can also send all of the invited athletes a message (email or SMS).

Hopefully you had some useful information and are eager to use both Attendance and Availability features on Sportlyzer. Log in or register to use these features before your next training session!
